Home games against Kentucky and Providence, an expanded conference schedule and a season-opening trip to New Mexico highlight Canisius College's 1997-98 men's basketball schedule. Eight of the 12 home games on the 26-game slate will be played at Marine Midland Arena.

Kentucky comes to Buffalo for the first time on Dec. 10. The game, which will be televised by Empire Sports Network, is the second half of a MMA doubleheader that begins with a 6 p.m. matchup between Niagara and LaSalle.

The MAAC schedule has been expanded to 18 games this season with the addition of newcomers Rider and Marist. Rider comes to the Koessler Center on Jan. 5, while Canisius hosts Marist at MMA on Jan. 22.

Season tickets for games at MMA are $160, $104, $80 and $48, while individual game tickets are $25, $15, $13 and $8. Tickets for the Kentucky game are $30, $20, $17 and $12. All tickets go on sale Monday and may be ordered by calling 855-4444. The schedule:
