SCHOOL JANITOR FACES PORN CHARGES

A public school janitor in the Bronx used a principal's school computer to send and receive child pornography over the Internet, Attorney General Dennis Vacco charged on Wednesday.

Christopher Black, 21, who was fired from his job at P.S. 175 last month, was arrested on Wednesday at his home in City Island, the Bronx.

He came to the attention of state authorities in April when an investigator in the attorney general's Internet and computer unit was surfing the Internet for fraud and other criminal behavior and made contact with him in an Internet chat room, said Chris McKenna, Vacco's spokesman.

From April to August, Black used a former girlfriend's computer and the principal's computer to transmit at least four pornographic images of children under age 16 to state investigators, the attorney general's office charged.

He used the girlfriend's password to log on, it said. The girlfriend was not charged in the case.
