The Jamestown Local Development Corp. Tuesday granted a $50,000 loan for more renovation work at the historic Broadhead Mills building.
Executive Director Samuel Teresi said the loan is going to the Civic Center Development Corp., so its tenant, Time Warner Cable, can build a local cable TV news studio.
"The loan is part of a $219,000 project that will involve the complete renovation of the fourth floor of that building," Teresi said. "They will build a newsroom, offices, a conference room, and a complete studio. It will create 10 new jobs."
The JLDC also approved a $50,000 loan to MSH Properties Inc., to build two luxury apartments in the historic Thurston Terrace town houses on East Fourth Street and a $25,000 loan for an addition to the Hubert Funeral Home on South Main Street.
