Rose L. Smith, 91, a retired hairstylist from North Collins, died Monday (Sept. 22, 1997) in her Englewood, Fla., home.
The former Rose Muscato was born in North Collins, graduated from North Collins High School and studied hairstyling in the Buffalo area. She worked in area hair salons for 25 years and as a barmaid. She was a parishioner in the Buffalo Diocese.
After she and Paul L. Smith were married in 1959, the couple traveled the country. His job with the Gas Machinery Co. of Cleveland required that they move often. After his retirement, they settled in Indiana before moving to Florida four years ago. He died in 1996.
Surviving are three sons, Eugene J. Renaldo of Holmes Beach, Fla., James A. Renaldo of Sarasota, Fla., and Anthony J. Renaldo; three stepsons, Kenneth H. Smith, of Beverly, Mass., Donald L. Smith, of Aurora, Ohio, and James Smith of Pleasanton, Calif.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, Columbia City, Ind. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Columbia City, Ind.
