Pesticides and public health will be the focus of an evening seminar at the Center for Tomorrow on the University at Buffalo North Campus in Amherst next month.

State Attorney General Dennis C. Vacco will be among the featured speakers at the Pesticide Project's Oct. 9 seminar, part of a statewide educational series on reducing risks.

Also speaking at the 7 p.m. event will be Dr. Marion Moses, president of the Pesticide Education Center in San Francisco; Michael Surgan, chief scientist of the state law department's environmental protection bureau; Gerard Ferrentino of Cornell University; and Geri Barish, president of 1 in 9: The Long Island Breast Cancer Action Coalition.
