Lorma R. Chesbro, a retired registered nurse, died Tuesday (Sept. 23, 1997) in Orchard Manor Nursing Home. She was 101 years old.
Born in Cleveland, Mrs. Chesbro had lived in the Albion-Middleport area since 1947. She worked as a registered nurse at Highland Hospital in Rochester for many years.
She was a member of Middleport Methodist Church, Albion Senior Citizens and the Veterans of World War I Auxiliary, and was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was the widow of Fred M. Chesbro.
Surviving are two daughters, Janice Sheelar of Middleport and Hazel Castro of La Mesa, Calif.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, 12 Ingersoll St., Albion. Burial will be in Mount Albion Cemetery.
