GRANT HILL SIGNS $80 MILLION SNEAKER DEAL

Fila USA cemented its ties to its best-known endorser, Grant Hill, with a new $80 million, seven-year contract -- almost twice as much as he makes playing basketball for the Pistons.

As a shoe salesman, Hill will make $11.4 million annually, ranking behind only the $20 million Nike pays Michael Jordan, industry spokesmen say.

Elsewhere, Kelvin Cato, selected 15th overall in the NBA draft, signed a multiyear contract with Portland. Cato, 6-foot-11, averaged 11.3 points and 8.4 rebounds last season at Iowa State.
