C. Esther Miller, 85, of Mapleton Road, an active member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, died Tuesday (Sept. 23, 1997) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda, after a brief illness.

The former C. Esther Unger was born in Lockport and lived in Wheatfield for most of her life.

Mrs. Miller was active in her church's choir and Women's Guild for many years. In addition, she was a member of the Niagara County Home Bureau for several years.

Her husband, H. Allen Miller, died in February.

Survivors include two sons, Gerald A. of North Tonawanda and Roger C. of Punta Gorda, Fla.; a sister, Jessie Brick of Cambria; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 3921 Mapleton Road, Pendleton. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
