COMPANY RECALLS HOT DOGS WITH INCORRECT LABELS

The Michigan company that makes Ball Park franks is voluntarily recalling 91,500 packages of a fat-free variety because they could contain a milk protein not included on the labels.

The milk protein can cause serious reactions in people who are allergic to milk products, Agriculture Department officials said Wednesday.

The Detroit-based company, Hygrade Food Products, is recalling all 14-ounce packages from one day's production of "Ball Park Fat Free Franks, Smoke Flavoring Added."

Consumers can identify the packages by bar code number 545393.
