An intentionally set blaze in a vacant Woodlawn Avenue house caused $35,000 damage early today, fire officials said.
Firefighters responded to the blaze shortly after 6 a.m. at 158 Woodlawn and were back in service by about 8 a.m. The arson started in the second floor of the 2 1/2 -story, wood-frame structure and spread to the attic, according to fire officials.
One firefighter was injured but remained on duty. Emergency demolition workers were scheduled to raze the house later today, authorities said.
