RUN FROM DRUGS PART OF FRIDAY PROGRAM

The Run From Drugs, intended to heighten awareness of the problems of illegal drug use, will be part of a program Friday in Vincent D'Amelio Park on Center Court.

Registration for the one mile is at 8 a.m., with a poster contest, face painting and sidewalk art at 9 a.m. The one-mile run will begin at 11 a.m., followed by a penny carnival, games and a story teller until 3 p.m. The $5 registration fee includes a T-shirt, food, beverages and prizes. The run is open to the public, including wheelchair participants, senior citizens and children of all ages, according to Stephanie W. Cowart, interim executive director of the
Niagara Falls Housing
Authority.
