FREDONIA SETS NIGHT OUT PROGRAM

The village's first National Night Out anti-crime observance will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday at West Barker Common, Police Chief Daniel Johnson announced.

Officers Patrick Ambrose and Phillip Maslak are coordinating the event, which includes games, prizes and balloons for children.

A street dance will be held on Church Street from 6 to 9 p.m., with music provided by D.J. Bear. The department also will provide refreshments.

Village residents are urged to lock their doors, turn on their lights and come to this event, which is celebrated nationwide.
