A major face lift, including installation of four illuminated brick pavilions, is under way at the Evanstown Plaza on Evans Road in Williamsville.
The 31,000-square-foot plaza's existing canopy will be cut back and the aluminum portions painted to complement the new pavilions. The pavilions themselves will be more than one story in height and will be placed about 12 feet away from the plaza's facade. Each will be illuminated via natural light through their arched ceilings and front-facing windows.
In addition, the 23-year-old center's parking lot has been redesigned to allow parking adjacent to the building's front walkway. Landscaping has been redesigned and enlarged with new signage attached to the canopy.
Owned by a partnership which includes as general partners Frank McGuire and Don Smith, Evanstown Plaza currently has 10 tenants and is 90 percent occupied.
The facade face lift is expected to be completed by late August.
