A Mass of Christian Burial for Edward J. Canham, 51, a former Buffalo resident, was offered Friday in Albuquerque, N.M. Interment was in Rio Rancho, N.M.

Canham died July 20, 1997, after suffering a heart attack while driving near his home in Madison, Tenn.

Born in Troy, he grew up in Buffalo and was a graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School. He was a 1969 graduate of Christian Brothers College in Memphis, Tenn., and remained in Tennessee to work as a concrete contractor and building supplies salesman.

Surviving are his father, George Sr. of Albuquerque; two brothers, Charles and George Jr., both of Albuquerque; and three sisters, Susan Jeffcoat of Oklahoma City, Okla., Shirley Lindenmuth of Albuquerque and Rosary Blair of Chelmsford, Mass.
