Agnes A. Zak, 82, retired librarian and school cafeteria worker, died Tuesday (July 29, 1997) in Wyoming County Community Hospital, Warsaw, after a short illness.

Born Agnes Pelton in Alexander, she retired from Stevens Memorial Library in Attica, where she worked in the children's department. She also worked in the Alexander Central School Cafeteria for many years.

Her husband, Michael F., died in 1991.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Z. Smith of Batavia, Beverly "Becky" Walker of Warsaw, and Elaine; two sons, James and Thomas; two sisters, Hannah Donahue of Alexander and Bertha Reiter; a brother, Leo Pelton of Alexander; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 50 East Ave. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
