2 ARRESTED AFTER SHOT IS FIRED DURING BURGLARY

Two men who allegedly fired a shot at two other men who refused to give them money during a Hickory Street burglary early today were caught by police, authorities said.

Michael Huguley, 28, of Niagara Street, and Matthew Tucker, 24, of Andover Avenue, were charged with burglary, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon, according to Central District officers.

The two men forced their way into an apartment occupied by Mark Hawkins and Calvin Evans, pointed a handgun at them and discharged it when their request for money was resisted, police said.

The bullet, fired at about 1:25 a.m., struck a hallway wall, officers said.
