Most American adults have negative views of kids, a new study says. Two-thirds of the adults interviewed called teens things like "rude," "irresponsible" and "wild." (Hmmph!) And younger kids didn't get off easier: Almost half the adults said younger kids were spoiled.
Most of the adults didn't think kids will make the United States a better place once they grow up. The study was done by a research group called Public Agenda; 2,600 adults were interviewed.
MAN IN BLACK MOOD
A shopper recently ran into Tommy Lee Jones in the Barbie section of a FAO Schwarz store in Chicago and (very politely, she says) asked if she could take his picture. Now, the request doesn't seem like it would be an alien concept to Mr. Jones. But the "Men in Black" star apparently was in a dark mood. He said no -- then turned back to her and asked, "Has anyone violated your privacy today?" Hey, Tommy Lee, chill!
A HIPPER HERCULES
So you weren't all that impressed with Disney's "Hercules," huh? Well, the beloved Herc from TV's "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" has some special stuff coming up. A direct-to-video animated feature stars Kevin Sorbo and Lucy Lawless (Xena) doing the voices of their characters -- and Lucy sings! Check stores in October.
The Fugees, Joan Osborne and others will come together to record a single of John Lennon's "Imagine" to benefit the Spirit Foundation, a charity group founded by Lennon and Yoko Ono.
