Guiseppe Verdi's tragic opera "Rigoletto" will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Monday at the Chautauqua Institution, Route 394, Chautauqua.

The Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra will present a series of concerts: at 8:15 tonight; at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, and 8:15 p.m. Saturday, with an evening of opera highlights, featuring "Forbidden Pleasures." Performances will be held at the Chautauqua Institution Amphitheater, Route 394, Chautauqua.

Pianist Terrence Wilson will perform works by Schumann, Chopin and Ravel at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Cultural Arts Center at Roberts Wesleyan College, Route 33, North Chili.

"Unstuffed," a family event with pianist Christopher Finkelmeyer, will be presented at 7 tonight at Smith-Wilkes Hall, Chautauqua Institution, Route 394, Chautauqua (357-6250).

The Logan Chamber Music Series will present the Audubon Quartet at 4 p.m. Monday at Lenna Hall, Chautauqua Institution, Route 394, Chautauqua.

The Amherst Chamber Ensembles will present "ACE Goes Pop," featuring Broadway tunes, jazz, rock and old-time favorites. The performance will be held at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Calvary Lutheran Church, 4110 Bailey Ave., Eggertsville.

Members of the FredoniaChamber Players and guest artists will perform music by Schubert and Brahms at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Fredonia Opera House, 9-11 Church St., Fredonia. Funds raised will support concert and educational activities for the orchestra.

Another Roadside Attraction, with the Tragically Hip, Sheryl Crow, Ashley MacIsaac, Wilco, Los Lobos, Change of Heart, the Mutton Birds, Ron Sexsmith and Van Allen Belt, will perform at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Darien Lake Performing Arts Center, Route 77, Darien Center.

Classic rockers Chicago will perform at 8 tonight at Melody Fair Theatre, Wurlitzer Park, North Tonawanda.

Veteran hard rockers Queensryche will perform at 7:30 tonight at Darien Lake Performing Arts Center, Route 77, Darien Center.

Woody Dodge, a folk rock-punk recording artist from Rochester, plus Michael Meldrum, will perform at 9 p.m. Wednesday at Nietzsche's, 248 Allen St.

Pro Midget Mafia, a nine-piece ska band, will perform at 9 tonight in Mohawk Place, 47 E. Mohawk St.

Pop vocalist Patti Labelle will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday at Melody Fair. The Waterfront Festival will present two performances at LaSalle Park: "Your Hit Parade, 1940-1960," with Sentimental Journey, featuring violinist Gregory Decenko, singer Rita Kay, and others, at 6:30 tonight; the Holmes Brothers at 6:30 p.m. Thursday (Luther Allison canceled).

Thursdays at the Square will present the Lance Diamond Show, plus Scott Carpenter and the Real McCoys, at 5 p.m. Thursday at Lafayette Square, Main at Court streets.

The John Henry Band, blues musicians, will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Lafayette Tap Room, 391 Washington St.

Summer in the City will present local artists Tim Baldwin, Tina Crapsi, Joe Waz, Peter Grey and Erica at 10 p.m. Thursday at Nietzsche's, 248 Allen St.
