John Bugyi, 68, of Sunnydale Drive, owner and manager of Simon Recycling, died Sunday (July 27, 1997) in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston.
Bugyi was born in Buffalo. He lived in the Town of Niagara for the last 27 years and previously lived in Grand Island and Buffalo.
He served in the Army during the Korean War.
Bugyi owned and managed Simon Recycling on Lockport Road for the last 30 years.
He was an avid fisherman.
Surviving are his wife, Norma Tweed Bugyi; a son, Gary of Lewiston; two daughters, Sandra DePadre of Niagara Falls and Catherine Schultz; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Hardison Funeral Home, North Fourth and Ridge streets, Lewiston. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
