Cleveland DeLoach, 65, a former shipyard worker in Georgia, died Saturday (July 26, 1997) in Medina Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
DeLoach, of Ricky Place, had lived in Medina since 1970.
Born in Sylvania, Ga., he spent most of his life in Savannah, Ga., where he worked for many years in the Savannah shipyards. He later worked for several years as a laborer at the O&E food processing plant in Oakfield.
DeLoach served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a member of Glad Tidings Baptist Church. He enjoyed carpentry and making furniture in his spare time.
DeLoach is survived by his wife, the former Annie Ruth Stubbs; a stepson, Willie Stubbs Sr. of Lockport; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Barnes-Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Burial will be in the Veterans Section of Boxwood Cemetery with full military honors.
