It's not the housewarming Ice Cube was looking for.
The rapper wasn't at home when two gunmen broke in early Thursday. But a construction supervisor living at the home, Delbert Clement, was trussed up with tape, handcuffs and a telephone cord.
For an hour, one robber watched Clement while the second ransacked the house. The robbers then fled with electronics equipment, cash and Clement's van, police said. There have been no arrests.
Authorities were investigating to determine if the robbery was related to two similar crimes this month.
On July 15, a lone gunman broke into a home leased by jailed Death Row Records founder Marion "Suge" Knight. His girlfriend and a friend walked in on the gunman and were robbed. The gunman escaped with a $10,000 ring, a $2,000 necklace and a Rolex watch.
Two days later, rock guitarist Carlos Cavazo of Quiet Riot was robbed and pistol-whipped at his Sherman Oaks home. Two suspects were later arrested.
