Jerry Bailey kept his streak of riding the winner of the $85,200 Lake George Stakes intact when he guided Auntie Mame to a two-length victory over Crab Grass at Saratoga.
Last year, Bailey rode Memories of Silver and Dynasty to victory in both divisions of the inaugural run of the turf race for 3-year-old fillies.
After racing within easy striking distance of the leaders to the stretch, Auntie Mame, who carried co-highweight of 121 pounds, pulled clear for the victory.
Crab Grass, one of the outsiders in the field of nine, beat Innovate by a nose for second.
It was the fourth win in six starts this year for the daughter of Theatrical from the Sir Ivor mare Lady Vixen. She covered 1 1/1 6 miles on a firm turf course in 1:42 2/5 and earned $51,120 for Lazy F Ranch.
