2 KILLED, 5 HURT IN BAR BLAST NEAR CONNECTICUT BORDER

An explosion leveled a bar and restaurant near the Connecticut border Monday afternoon, killing two people and injuring five, officials said.

Meg Miller, a spokeswoman for the Brewster Fire Department, said the bodies had been found in the rubble of Keltie's Bum Steer on Route 121.

Some victims were pulled from the wreckage by rescue workers who had to reach through rubble that had collapsed into the basement of the restaurant.
