WARNERA THOMAS, OWNED WEDDING-SUPPLY BUSINESS

Warnera S. Thomas, 74, of 18th Street, who owned a wedding-supply business for more than 30 years, died Saturday (July 26, 1997) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a long illness.

The former Warnera Scheurich, a native of Morocco, Ind., moved to Niagara Falls as a child. She graduated from Niagara Falls High School.

Her store, Designs by Warnera, was located on 18th Street. It sold wedding invitations and other supplies.

Mrs. Thomas also served as a den mother for a Cub Scout troop sponsored by her parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, William; two sons, Donald W. and Douglas L., both of Lewiston; three sisters, Donalda Slaugenhoupt of Youngstown, Ida Scheurich of Lewiston and Marion McAuley of El Paso, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Sacred Heart Church, South Avenue and 11th Street, after prayers at 9 in Otto Redanz Funeral Home, Michigan Avenue and 10th Street. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston.
