Marie M. Harrod, who worked as a seamstress out of her Pallister Avenue home, died Saturday (July 26, 1997) in Newfane Inter-Community Memorial Hospital. She was 87.
A native of Newfane, the former Marie M. Zimmerman was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Harrod, a longtime Barker resident, moved to Oklawaha, Fla., in 1969, then returned to Barker in 1985. Her hobbies included reading, crocheting and knitting.
Her husband, Maurice, died in 1984.
Survivors include two sons, Richard of Sterling Heights, Mich., and Jimmie of Grand Island; a daughter, Janis Maybach of Appleton; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, 1708 Pallister Ave. Burial will be in Somerset Cemetery. (sherwood)
