To clarify a reference to the Detroit Sunday Journal in Saturday's News, the Associated Press explains that the strike against the Detroit newspapers ended when the strikers offered to return to work, but the unions said the offers were not accepted because all of the workers were not brought back to work right away.

The issue of whether a "lockout" is in force goes to the courts this week, AP reports.
