Pierce & Stevens Corp. of Buffalo has made several appointments. Karen Seeberg has been named director-human resources. Previously human resource manager for the Informations Systems Division of Avery Dennison, she holds a bachelor's degree from the University at Buffalo and attends Cornell University. Robert W. Rowitsch has been appointed technical services manager-custom products. He most recently was involved in development of the firm's pilot plant for new product development. Rowitsch holds a bachelor's degree from the University at Buffalo. John A. Bervoets has been named technical services manager-graphic arts. He previously was sales marketing manager. And Steven E. Hepp has been appointed technical services manager-packaging. Most recently market manger-flexible packaging, he holds a bachelor's degree in polymer engineering from Cornell University and a master's degree in business administration from UB.

Gelia Wells & Mohr Marketing Communications has made several appointments. Nancy Vargo has been named public relations coordinator. Formerly a public relations assistant at Delaware North Companies, she holds a bachelor's degree in communications from the University at Buffalo. Gretchen Janish has been promoted to information services manager. Formerly the interactive communications manager, she holds an associate's degree in business administration from Erie Community College. And, Amy Vento has been named media assistant. She previously worked as a public relations assistant at Fisher-Price Inc. Ms. Vento holds a bachelor's degree in public communication from Buffalo State College.

Robert J. Kazeangin Jr. has been named winner of the Ninth Annual William W. Warren Leadership Development Award. The circulation manager for the Niagara Gazette, he was cited for enterprising efforts and commitment to the community. The award was established by Warren-Hoffman & Associates and Leadership Niagara.

Cook Moving Systems Inc. has appointed Tony Calandra of Kenmore an account executive for its Office and Industrial Division.

Russ Sherrer Sr., a broker at Metro Scherrer Realty & Auctions, has successfully completed the course in personal property appraisals at Certified Appraisers of America.
