Max Diamond, 87, a former Niagara Falls resident and a former coal deliveryman, died Friday (July 25, 1997) in Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo.

Diamond, of the Manhattan Manor Nursing Home in Buffalo, was born in Racine, Wis., and moved to Niagara Falls at an early age.

He worked for many years as a deliveryman in the family business, the former Diamond Coal Co., which was located at Sixth Street and Niagara Avenue.

He is survived by a sister, Lillian Leifer.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Ahvas Sholem Cemetery, Witmer Road, Town of Niagara.
