Donald R. Lagace, 50, a maintenance supervisor for the Niagara Frontier State Parks, died Friday (July 25, 1997) after suffering an apparent heart attack in his Blairville Road residence.
Born in the Town of Porter, he graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School in 1964 and served in the Army from 1966 to 1968 during the Vietnam War.
Lagace had worked for the Niagara Frontier State Parks for nearly 30 years.
He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 313.
He was a computer enthusiast and enjoyed working outdoors, gardening, reading and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
His mother, Ruth E. Lagace, who lived with him, died July 17, 1997.
He is survived by two sisters, Gayle Barnes of Niagara Falls and Ruth Ellen Lagace; and two brothers, Edwin W. of Niagara Falls and David J.
VFW Post 313 will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m. Monday in Hardison Funeral Home, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville.
The family will hold private services Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria.
