CORRECTION

A police source described only as an organized crime investigator made the following statements in a report on the Wednesday night slaying of Carmen Barillaro, described as a Niagara Falls, Ont., mobster:

"You've got to look at them like a father-son deal. They took out the father, and the son was vulnerable."

"(Johnny "Pops") Papalia made (Barillaro) what he is. He was just a hairdresser" before Papalia groomed him for the mob.

Because of a reporting error, the quotations, from a Friday report in the Toronto Sun, were attributed to the wrong person Saturday in The Buffalo News.
