Villa Maria Chorale Music Director Ireneusz Lukaszewski has been invited as a guest lecturer to the International Symposium of Choral Music of the Baltic and Hanseatic Cities. The event will be held Aug. 22 to 30 in Gdansk, Poland, as part of the city's millennium celebrations this year. The symposium also features lecturers such as Music Nobel Prize winner Eric Erikson, and Uwe Gronostay.
James G. Papas, a Buffalo artist, has an exhibition of his paintings, drawings and prints on view in Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester. The show, titled "New Work: Further Explorations, Inner Space Continuum: The Next Generation -- Spacescapes," will continue through Sept. 7.
