I would like to address the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority's total disregard for Metro Rail passengers on July 12 and 13.
Due to the Taste of Buffalo, Metro Rail terminated service at the Theater Station.
The agent at the South Station, where I purchased my full-price round-trip ticket, neverinformed me of this.
There were no NFTA representatives on board the train, and many of us were shocked when it reversed direction at the Theater Station and headed back to the South Station.
I find it difficult to believe that the NFTA could not assign a few extra people on that weekend to inform passengers about the inconvenience they would have to endure once they reached the station or to advise them about alternatives.
My plan was to attend the Buffalo Bisons game in North AmeriCare Park, five stops from the Theater Station -- a rather good distance.
Obviously the NFTA had no consideration for the elderly and handicapped who attended the game and had to transport themselves those five stops.
