Richard A. Brauen, 75, a retired employee of Georgia-Pacific Corp. in Akron, died Tuesday (July 22, 1997) in Buffalo.

A native of Shelby, he had worked for 42 years at Georgia-Pacific before his retirement in 1984.

He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Forces and a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville Volunteer Fire Company and Wolcottsville Marching Band.

Surviving are his wife, the former Marian Weber; two daughters, Marsha L. of Washington, D.C., and Karen M. Shephard of Midland, Texas; a brother, Raymond of Clarence; and a sister, Agnes Hinkley of Middleport.

Services were conducted today in St. Michael's Lutheran Church. Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery.
