Isadore Siejka, 81, a veteran of the New Guinea and Luzon campaigns in World War II, died Thursday (July 24, 1997) in his home in Spallino Towers.
A Niagara Falls native, he retired in 1979 after five years as a laborer with the Town of Niagara, and previously worked for Kimberly-Clark Corp.
He served in the Army field artillery from 1942 to 1945, earning the Philippine Liberation Medal and the Asiatic-Pacific Medal.
His wife, Stella Franaszek Siejka, died in 1985. Survivors include a sister, Janina Durma.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, 2437 Niagara St., after prayers at 9 in Zajac Funeral Home, 319 24th St.
Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston.
