HARD TIMES FOR THE CHAN GANG

A Jackie Chan action flick is offending Muslims.

The 1991 movie "Operation Condor," just re-released after Chan dubbed and recut it, is filled with "negative portrayals of Muslims or Islam," said Al-Haaj Ghazi Y. Khankan of the Islamic Center of Long Island.

"These ugly Muslim or Arab images seem to parallel the images of Jews in Nazi-inspired movies," Khankan told Newsday.

The distributor of "Operation Condor," Dimension Films, said the movie "is a classic action comedy, all done with humor, and no harm is intended."
