Frances Pitari, 89, of Pierce Avenue, who enjoyed cooking and bingo, died Tuesday (July 22, 1997) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a long illness.
The former Frances Borelli was born in Niagara Falls, Ont., and moved to this city in 1930.
Mrs. Pitari was a member of the John A. Duke Senior Citizen Center.
Her husband, Frank A., died in 1983.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Trane of Ormond Beach, Fla., Jean Saulino of the Town of Niagara and Dolores of New York City; a brother, Felix Borelli of Niagara Falls, Ont.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, following prayers at 9 at the M.J. Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel, 468 19th St. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
