Bettie I. O'Hara, a former 40-year resident of Niagara Falls, died on Wednesday (July 23, 1997) in her Custer City, Pa., residence. She was 74.
The former Betty Vallimont was born in Clearfield, Pa. In 1940, she moved to Niagara Falls, where she had lived until moving to Custer City in 1980.
She was employed in the commissary at the former Bell Aircraft in Wheatfield and in the 1960s she worked in the housing unit of the Niagara Falls Air Force Base in the Town of Niagara.
Mrs. O'Hara was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by her husband, Addison; a son, Richard; two daughters, Judith Ann Benuzzi of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Connie Johnston of Manitowoc, Wis.; a brother, Lester Vallimont of Clearfield, Pa.; two sisters, Peggy Beck of Jersey Shore, Pa., and Juanita Lewis of Leesburg, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls.
