An Amish buggy carrying 10 people rolled over Thursday, sending the passengers to Lake Shore Hospital in Irving.
Chautauqua County sheriff's officers said two horses were pulling the buggy down the hill on Stafford Road about 8:15 a.m., when the horses' neck yoke broke. The horses apparently panicked and ran.
Levi Shetler, 3, was the most seriously hurt. He suffered a large cut to his forehead. The boy's parents, Andy, 28, and Susie, 26, suffered minor injuries, along with their four other children ranging in age from 8 years to 5 months. Also treated were the driver, Harvey J. Detweiler, 20, his wife, Katie, 23, and their 10-month-old daughter Ada.
