Frank B. Wojciechowski, 50, a millwright at the General Motors plant in the Town of Tonawanda for the last 27 years and a resident of Sloan until he moved to Elma several months ago, died Wednesday (July 23, 1997) in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, after a short illness.
He was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, where he played varsity baseball, basketball and football, and an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He belonged to United Auto Workers Local 774 and was a member and past commander of the Frank L. Gierlach Post, American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, the former Barbara Przepiora; three daughters, Anne Marie Hirsch of Elma, Kim Matyjakowski of West Seneca and Jane Pulaski of Sloan; a sister, Diane Helinski of Cheektowaga; and a brother, Joseph of Clarence.
Prayers will be said at 9 a.m. Saturday in Daniel R. Smolarek Funeral Home, 2047 Broadway. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 in St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Crocker and Franklin streets, Sloan. Burial will be in St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Lancaster.
