Colleen L. Brophy, 59, former manager of several Buffalo area travel agencies, died Wednesday (July 23, 1997) in Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, Springville, after a long illness.
Born in Lackawanna, she attended the former Rosary Hill College in Amherst.
She was a reservationist for Pan American and other airlines for 15 years before going into the travel agency business.
She also taught travel and tourism courses at Bryant & Stratton Business Institute.
An extensive traveler, she was a past president of the "Bon Vivants" and a member of Buffalo-Niagara Women in Travel.
She was a volunteer English teacher at the International Institute in Buffalo.
Survivors include her mother, Irma Davis of Buffalo; a sister, Jacqueline Skipper of Franklinville; a brother, Patrick Brophy of Buffalo; and a stepbrother, David Davis of Orchard Park.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
