RUDY ELECTED PRESIDENT OF EDEN SCHOOL BOARD

Eden School Trustee Harry F. Rudy is the new president of the Eden Central School Board, with Trustee Barbara Abraham elected as its vice president for the 1997-98 school year.

With four votes, including his own, Rudy was elected president of the seven-member board last week during the board's reorganization meeting. The three remaining trustees who did not vote for Rudy were supporting Trustee Jocelyn Bos, former vice president, for the board presidency. Mrs. Abraham was elected vice president in a 7-0 vote.

Newly elected Trustee Michael Busshart was sworn in to office on the board, in addition to Karen Smith, who was appointed for a one-year term to replace Jerry Walters who resigned unexpectedly last month. The other new trustee, William Fedchak Jr., was sworn in before last week's meeting.

The board will hold its regular meetings at 7:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month in the junior-senior high school, 3150 Schoolview Drive.
