Coffee lovers, rejoice.
Procter & Gamble Co. announced Tuesday that it is cutting prices for Folgers canned coffee, the best-selling brand in the United States. It marks the first decline in a little more than a year.
P&G plans to lower the price of a 13-ounce can of Folgers by 30 cents, to $3.06. It also will reduce the price of a 13-ounce can of decaffeinated Folgers by 30 cents, to $3.76.
At one large chain supermarket in the Buffalo area, Folgers is retailing at $4.09 for a 13-ounce can and $5.18 for decaffeinated.
The change, effective Sept. 8, does not alter the price of Folgers instant coffee.
