The Chautauqua County Legislature Monday night unanimously approved a 10-year lease agreement with New Plan Realty Trust Leasing.
The county will use 4,800 square feet of space at the D&F Plaza to relocate its north county Department of Motor Vehicles and Environmental Health Division offices. The space was formerly a Fleet Bank branch.
Central Services Director Ronald Hall told lawmakers the alterations would cost the county about $30,000, with additional work being provided by the landlord, including a new heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. The new offices are scheduled to open by Sept. 1.
The Legislature also agreed to transfer portions of five streets in Jamestown to the county highway system.
