ACCIDENT KILLS WOMAN IN TRUCK

A young Clarendon, Pa., woman was killed Tuesday when she was thrown from the bed of a pickup truck in a crash blamed on drunken driving.

Pennsylvania State Police at Warren said Jamie M. Retterer, 19, was pronounced dead in Warren General Hospital of an apparent head injury after the 3 a.m. incident.

Retterer and three other persons were riding in the back of the truck on Morrison Run Road, when the driver, Lenny A. Beane, 19, of Warren, lost control and swerved.

Beane is charged with driving under the influence. The others were all cited for underage consumption of alcohol.
