Hanson, a trio of tykes from Tulsa, is proud to provide an alternative to dark, edgy alternative music.

"For a while, there was that alternative thing, and it was huge," Taylor Hanson, 14, says in the July 25 issue of Entertainment Weekly. "And now it's coming back to music being fun. Not corny, but enjoyable. Not down-and-out, 'I hate my life.' "

The trio filled out by Hanson brothers Isaac, 16, and Zac, 11, zoomed to the top of the pop charts with the upbeat hit song "MMMbop" and immediately became teen idols.

"It's so cool that all these people are having fun and dancing or clapping to our music," Isaac said.
