Henrietta M. Romesser, 73, of Varysburg, a former Wyoming County Cooperative Extension employee, died Saturday (July 19, 1997) in her home.
Born Henrietta Meyer in Buffalo, she grew up in North Java and was a graduate of Attica High School. She worked as a 4-H program aide for Wyoming County Cooperative Extension for 16 years.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, North Java, the Lady of Lourdes Society, Catholic Daughters of America and the Tri-Town Senior Citizens of Varysburg and Strykersville.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Bernard; two sons, Joseph of Drums, Pa., and Thomas of Torrance, Calif.; four daughters, Patricia Perl of Gainesville, Marjorie Romero of Jacksonville, Fla., Diane Petrotta of Fairport and Sarah Youngers of East Arcade; three brothers, James of North Java and Robert and Richard, both of Warsaw; a sister, Ruth George of North Java; 21 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Nicholas Church, Route 98, North Java. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery. (anderson)
