Alice E. Krisher of Mill Road died Sunday (July 20, 1997) in Orchard Manor Nursing Home after an illness of 10 months. She was 82.
The former Alice Retzlaff was born in Niagara Falls. After she married Vernon W. Krisher Sr., they moved to the Lyndonville area, where she worked on a farm and raised her family. She also worked for two years during World War II for Bell Aircraft in Wheatfield.
She was a member of Ashwood Wesleyan Church, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Missionary Society. She also was a member of the Farm Bureau.
Mrs. Krisher's favorite pastime was traveling. She and her husband spent their winters in Florida.
Besides her husband, survivors include five daughters, Suzanne Hubert of Tarpon Springs, Fla., Marjorie Mapes of Medina, Carol Fulcomer of Atlanta, Diane L. Palmer of Simpsonville, S.C., and Joan Thomas; two sons, Vernon W. Jr. of Alden and Danny L. of Medina; a brother, Herbert J. of Port Richey, Fla.; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; 21 stepgrandchildren; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; and a stepgreat-great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Ashwood Church, Platten Road. Burial will be in Lynhaven Cemetery.
