Joan Lunden has nothing but good wishes and veteran advice for Lisa McRee, her successor on "Good Morning America."
Lunden, who will leave the show in September, gave her replacement a few tips shortly after the Los Angeles anchorwoman accepted the job.
The 17-year veteran of the ABC show is "appalled at the way women don't support each other, and I don't want to be part of that."
"Joan was great," McRee says in the current issue of TV Guide. "She talked about how wonderful the staff is and how to stay focused on the person you are talking to. She said if you really care about the person, then the audience will care. That was good advice."
