Donald F. Amis, 71, a retired salesman, died Friday (Oct. 25, 1996) in Medina Memorial Hospital.
Amis was born in Medina and lived there all his life. He worked as a salesman for Cook Wholesale until retiring in 1965.
He had been a ham radio operator since 1975 and had many ham-operator friends in the United States and Canada.
Amis was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He also was a member of the North Shore Amateur Radio Club in Oshawa, Ont., for 20 years and the Orleans County Amateur Radio Club and was a past member of the Medina Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, the former Anna R. Reale. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. today in St. Mary's Church, West Avenue and Eagle Street. Burial will be in Boxwood Cemetery.
