Leaders of the Greater Buffalo Partnership this week urged its members to vote for the Clean Water/Clean Air Bond Act this November, saying the act will bring needed cleanup dollars to this area.

"Partnership support of this bond act is based on the community need and the economic benefits of a clean environment, as well as its specific provisions allocating $25 million towards continued Great Lakes cleanup and $200 million for brownfield redevelopment," said Andrew J. Rudnick, president of the partnership.

The government relations and public-policy group has 3,300 members, who in turn represent 200,000 Niagara Frontier employees.

Rudnick said the proposed $1.75 billion bond act "will be a catalyst for investment and growth throughout New York State and in this region, in particular."
